In Seoul's sophisticated culinary landscape, Chef Kim Do-yun is like a reclusive culinary hermit. As the head chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant "Yun Seoul," his dedication to the essence of ingredients is on full display in Netflix's "Chef: Battle of the Classes." His precise control over flavor and ingredients makes him the show's most iconic "white spoon" master.

As one of South Korea's top three noodle-making masters, he embarked on a near-obsessive 14-year research journey in search of the perfect noodle, turning his kitchen into a laboratory to meticulously refine the properties of flour, the water ratio, and the subtle changes in natural fermentation. This almost fanatical dedication to detail not only earned him the title of "Taste Master" but also solidified his position as a leading figure in contemporary Korean cuisine.

He firmly believes that only through the tempering of time can the deepest "sweetness" of ingredients be brought out without adding any artificial chemicals. This minimalist approach to food, which abandons extravagant decorations and allows the senses to return to their original flavors, is not only the key to his Michelin recognition but also the soul of all his creations.

In 2025, Chef Kim Do-yoon partnered with A-Sha to create a new brand, "DO KIM." This is not only a cross-border collaboration, but also a "revolution in food."

Unlike other co-branded products on the market, all of DOKIM's products are developed and refined by the chef himself, with every flavor detail meticulously crafted.

The chef has transformed the "low-temperature roasted perilla oil" and "special double sauce" techniques he uses in his Seoul restaurants into a series of noodle dishes that can be easily enjoyed at home. He insists on using nutritious natural ingredients and personally supervises every research and development process to ensure that even a simple bowl of noodles can convey the warmth and quality of a star restaurant.
