In Seoul's sophisticated culinary landscape, Chef Kim Do-yun is like a reclusive culinary hermit. As the head chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant "Yun Seoul," his dedication to the essence of ingredients is on full display in Netflix's "Chef: Battle of the Classes." His precise control over flavor and ingredients makes him the show's most iconic "white spoon" master.
As one of South Korea's top three noodle-making masters, he embarked on a near-obsessive 14-year research journey in search of the perfect noodle, turning his kitchen into a laboratory to meticulously refine the properties of flour, the water ratio, and the subtle changes in natural fermentation. This almost fanatical dedication to detail not only earned him the title of "Taste Master" but also solidified his position as a leading figure in contemporary Korean cuisine.
